Alfie

This striking looking boy is 3 year old Alfie.

Alfie is a loving boy and is very keen to please his humans. He walks well on the lead and loves being out exploring and playing around in the paddock at kennels. He enjoys the agility tunnel and playing tug with the hanging rope toys.

Alfie can be left for 3-4 hours quite happily but would prefer that to not be too often.

Alfie is a typical adolescent male Akita and is looking for experienced owners who can guide him through adolescence. Alfie can display resource guarding with high value treats that take time to eat and toys so this must be a consideration when adopting him. It’s easily overcome by not giving these items to him until such a time as he has learnt that they are for fun and nothing more. He would be best as the only dog in the home and no children under 13 years of age.
