We are looking for an experienced home for this little beauty.

Missy is spending a significant amount of time at home on her own. Her owner has commitments and health issues which necessitates her being away from the house.

Missy is a bit nervous when she meets you initially. She tends to be vocal, but will settle. She’s very protective of her owner and is looked after - her coat is gleaming and she’s in good health. Missy does suffer with allergies, but this is well controlled with hypoallergenic kibble. We saw no evidence of scratching/itching.

This girly loves her treats and will happily give you her paw. She is very gentle taking food from your hand. She understands basic commands and appears to be receptive to learning and further training.

On her walks, Missy is super excited. She is interested in everything around her and is not phased at all by loud noises. She will pull on the lead at first, then settles to an easy going pace. Missy is anxious when other dogs and people approach her outside. She will bark and it’s clear she is uncomfortable, but will settle when she sees there is no threat.

Missy is a very cute Akita and needs the security of being loved. A calm relaxed, adult only home will be the best fit for Missy, where her new family will be around most of the time. No small furries in residence please.
